La Jacmelienne Hotel Haiti - Traveler Reviews

by Haiti Hotel Reviews on 2/9

La Jacmelienne Beach Hotel Haiti is located in Jacmel, Haiti.

La Jacmelienne Beach is a colonial beachfront hotel with wroght iron trim and traditional arches.

Here is what one person said about La Jacmelienne Beach Hotel in Haiti:

"This was once a beautiful, and historic hotel with spectacular service.

My parents honey mooned here. I went down after a medical trip one week. I took a Haitian translator/guide (thank god!) We checked in, and were told various things to detour us from the room I reserved.

Once we finally got the billing straightened out (tons and tons of documents) we opened the room. It was very basic, bathroom full of mosquitos.

One towel.

The patio door was shut with one movable nail. (You would have better luck sleeping on the street) We went into town and came back, the staff had entered our room within the hour we were gone and turned the AC off. We paid for an AC room, and we entered it, very hot. I went to the beach, and then the pool, each time the AC was turned off. We were at this hotel for a matter of three hours and I demanded to speak with the manager/owner- he was too arrogant and busy to assist me (there was one other guest in the place).

After dealing with the desk clerk, I ripped up as much paper work as I could pull from her, and called my bank to reverse the charges.

They are shady people.

Save yourself the time and go to Hotel Cyvailer down the road a few miles.

Also nearby are several new, spectacular places to stay. Don't stay here. You won't last the night.

The location is all this place, La Jacmelienne Beach Hotel, has going for itself- only hotel right on jacmel beach- but there is no beach access- you have to go around a block to get to it"

"I stayed there for 4 nights, the rooms were somewhat clean, the staff weren't friendly including the manager.

It was noisy at all time. upon arrival, they claimed there would be security and there was none. my cousins came to visit me the last night, we hang hout and had a few drinks since it was late I offered them to stay with me in the suite with livingrom that I was staying in. The staff noticed and refused to let them stay because they didn't want more than two persons in the suites.

I travel alot and I know what customer service is, therefore I wouldn't recomend this hotel to anyone who's searching for good hostpitality."

Oloffson Hotel Haiti - Traveler Reviews

by Haiti Hotel Reviews on 2/9

Oloffson Hotel Haiti is located in Ave Christophe #60, Port au Prince, Haiti.

A destination unto itself, the Hotel Oloffson provides lodging near the center of Port au Prince, Haiti.

Amenities include: wireless internet, swimming pool, a famous bar where the house band RAM plays most Thursday nights, a fine restaurant featuring local and international cuisine, gift shop, a lush tropical garden replete with fruit trees and Vodou sculptures, laundry service, 24-hour security, a friendly staff who can assist you in finding reliable drivers and guides.

Here is what one person said about Oloffson Hotel in Haiti:

"I went to the Oloffson on Thursday so I could take in the voudou rhythm of RAM. I stayed with friends in the Graham Greene suite which was big enough for a large family.

There was a large verranda with wicker like furniture and the room had a small area to entertain friends.

Even though the hotel is in the city of Port au Prince, it is an island of its own surrounded by tropical trees and plants.

Make sure you have your continental breakfast which is served down near the kitchen.

The older waiters made my party feel as though we were hollywood elite.

Don't expect the fastest service from the kitchen crew, but the food is good once it gets to your table.

The rooms are decorated with voudou paintings and art and definitely was a welcome retreat even for someone who has lived in Haiti over the past 20 years.

Richard and his wife Lunise are very welcoming hosts and treat you as they would treat Jonathan Demme or their other Hollywood guest.

When you visit make sure you meet some of the hotel guests as they are quite interesting people.

I will stay at the Oloffson upon my arrival and departure from Haiti each time I go."

Ideal Villa Hotel Haiti - Traveler Reviews

by Haiti Hotel Reviews on 2/9

Ideal Villa Hotel Haiti is located in Delmas 53 #5, Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Here is what one person said about Ideal Villa Hotel in Haiti:

"I really did like it, the entrance was not like wow, however, once u get inside, its to die for...

One of the thing i love is the sence of security you get, once it turn 10pm the doors locked, no new check in. And the Arts in that place, the freshness at the balcony takes you back home the way it was, but my problem with is the hotel is No A/C until 6pm, which mean if you stay in your room for the day, you are in trouble, i did not like it at all, although, i know how my country is, its not a problem but if im staying in a hotel room instead of my house a 24hrs A/C is a must. I love the hotel, but if it was my hotel i woould definatly invest towards improvement."

by Haiti Hotel Reviews on 2/9

Royal Haitian Hotel Haiti is located in 95 Bourdon, Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Here is what one person said about Royal Haitian Hotel in Haiti:

"I much enjoyed my time at the Royal Haitian.

Breakfast with fresh lemonade by the pool in the mornings.

Quiet elegance and stately grounds.

No hustle, no bustle.

The restaurant food was equisite.

The staff, very accomodating and very polite.

A casino on the grounds if you desire.

One of the best get-away-from-it-alls I've ever enjoyed."
