Re: Spirit Airlines Flight To Haiti Review

by M.mary Clayton on 1/14

We have been trying to get to PAP for 3 days, to give medical help to earthquake victims.

My husband (M.D.) and I (R.N.) have been visiting Haiti yearly on medical mission to Pendus, Haiti.

We know Haitian families, understand how to communicate to the Haitian communities.

Our first set of tickets to PAP were cancelled (under-standable since they were for Fri, 1/15).

I finally got tickets on Spirit from Ft. Lauderdale next week at 289. RT. They did not put thru our request for 15mins.

and when they did return Spirit sent an e-mail that these tickets were now $421.00 RT!!
UNBELIEVABLE.

They are raping the health of these poor victims and their families.

Wish I knew how to get the US Gov. to see this robbery.

Out of gratitude I would not fly any other ailine to Haiti but spirit.

Before they came to the market, one needed a bank loan to get a seat on American that had a monopoly.

Spirit flies brand new airplanes, as a results their flights are rarely delayed or cancelled due to mechanical problems, compared to American's 25 year old planes.

But be aware that they are not flexible as far as luggage is concerned.

They will only check one piece weighting 50 pounds per paying travelers.

If you bring a second piece, you will miss the flight and will have to buy a new ticket.

Non paying babies riding on their parents laps are not entitled to check in any luggage.

If you plan to abide by their policies, you should have a pleasant experience with them.

Spirit Air Offer Lower Air Fares To Haiti

by Herold on 2/26

Until the arrival of Spirit Airlines in Haiti American Airlines ticket prices were through the roof.

Now that Spirit Air is here, Air fares to Haiti is somewhat cheaper.

That is of course if you live in Florida, I don't know how other people pay for air fares to haiti if they are coming from other cities.
