American Airlines Fly To Haiti BUT Not Spirit Airlines?

My friend in Haiti tell me that there are American Airlines flights to Haiti everyday right now.
He even said that other airlines are flying to Haiti like Air France.
Why is Spirit Airlines unable to land in Haiti?
Can someone please explain this to me?
